Alex Pretti’s parents holding first news conference since deadly Metro Surge shooting — Apple Valley Health news

The parents of Alex Pretti are set to hold their first press conference since their son was shot and killed by federal immigration agents in January. His parents, Michael Pretti and Susan Pretti, will be joined by their attorney Steve Schleicher for the press conference that is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse at the time of his death, was killed on Jan. 24, 2026 during Operation Metro Surge. Government records obtained by ProPublica identified the agents involved as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa, 43, and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez, 35. At this point, no charges have been filed against the federal immigration agents who were involved.
